INFANTS

Crayons Infant caregivers strive to create strong, secure relationships with the children in their care by creating meaningful daily routines and experiences that respond to each child's individual strengths and interests. Caregivers respond to children's needs in a consistent, supportive manner which fosters each child's social emotional development and encourages the development of independence and exploration

TODDLERS

Our educators encourage toddlers' curiosity and exploration of their environment as a means of learning about their world and developing autonomy throughout their day. Classroom activities, materials and equipment are specially chosen to support children's social, emotional, physical, language and cognitive development.

PRESCHOOL

Crayons preschool program implements an emergent curriculum that utilizes the Creative Curriculum and aligns with and follows the RI Early Learning Standards. The program provides learning experiences for children that are intentional and designed to support what children should know, understand and be able to do, across the following 8 domains of learning:

Approaches to Learning
Social and Emotional Development
Language Development and Communication
Literacy
Mathematics
Science
Creativity
Physical Health and Development

Classroom educators utilize a variety of strategies and research based approaches to insure that they provide students with learning opportunities and environments that are individualized, developmentally appropriate and culturally relevant. Children's interests, needs and abilities are incorporated into daily planning in order to engage students in intentional play experiences which encourage them to explore, experiment and learn.
